Kaupr indexes publicly available product data — titles, prices, descriptions, and availability — from online stores via public endpoints such as Shopify’s /products.json. We also collect technology fingerprint data (which platforms and tools a store runs) from publicly observable HTTP responses.
This data is used to build a semantic competitive intelligence index that DTC brands use to understand their competitive landscape and track market movements.
Kaupr does not process shopper or consumer personal data. We index product catalogues, not customer records. We do not access anything behind authentication, and we never collect order data, customer emails, or any personally identifiable information from the stores we crawl.
Store owners can request removal of their data at any time at kaupr.com/merchants/removal. We acknowledge within 48 hours and complete removal within 7 days, and will not re-index your store in future crawls.
You can also block future crawling by adding the following to your robots.txt:
User-agent: Kaupr Disallow: /
Kaupr generates revenue from subscriptions only. We do not sell data to third parties, serve advertising, or use crawled data for any purpose other than the competitive intelligence service described above.
